Former Kat still playing the game

Scorpio Babers’ football career reads like something out of a soap opera.
Cut by one team, he comes back with another, never going away for good.
Fittingly, Robert Scorpio, the General Hospital character for which he was named, keeps reappearing after he’s believed to be dead.
“My mother had a thing for soap operas,” said Babers, who took part in Calgary Stampeders’ rookie camp Thursday and Friday.
“She loved Robert Scorpio.”
Babers is a tad older than the average Stamps’ freshman. At 27, he’s been around for a while still looking for the ultimate opportunity.
After leaving Sam Houston State, Babers signed as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins.
