Baseball preseason rankings

There are all kinds of web sites dedicated to college baseball rankings, maybe more so than any other collegiate sport. I found one that really gets in depth called Perfect Game USA.

The preseason rankings are out and they go a little farther than other sites. Not only to the team rankings stretch to the top 100 teams, they also rank the top 500 players in college baseball.

Prefect Game just released their top 100 on Wednesday and the Bearkats are ranked No. 79. The Bearkats are the highest ranked Southland Conference team with Texas State the only other team in the top 100 at No. 88.

The site also tabbed Mark Hudson at SHSU’s top 2010 draft prospect for position players (No. 253 overall). The top pitching prospect is Dallas Gallant (No. 111).
