Women's golf off to good start

The girls got of to a great start in 2010 in Louisiana, by finishing second out of 13 teams and missing first by just a single stroke.

It was a strong showing with two juniors and three freshmen in the lineup. Also, seven of the eight Southland teams were participating, so it was good to see how we could match up. Freshman Shelby Hardy finished fifth while Meghan Stevens took sixth, posting a 70 on her final round, which was the low round of the tournament.

As a team we shot 301 on the last day which was the best team total of the event.

Congratulations girls!
